I agree. Many of them want the recognition and the "highest honor".

I just wish it wasn't a situation where we had to push ourselves into these predominately White spaces on some "Oooh I want one too ya'll! Pleasseeee? C'mon man ...." type mess.

But on the flip side, having those awards can sometimes do something positive for people's careers. Instead of just being an "actor", they become a "Golden Globe nominated actor", which can in turn allow them to request higher pay or receive more roles. So I get it.
