I don?t see why people (on Twitter) started attacking Alexandra anyway just because a dark skinned girl might get the role next? Sometimes Black people act like light skinned is a completely different race
its mostly because she sucks, but she makes matters worse with her own statements. she?s trash
we don?t even know if this other girl will get the role or if she will be good as Storm. It just seems like bitterness to me. Over a fictional character at that

Naw. It's more about White washing in Hollywood.

Storm is an iconic, legendary even, Black female character. Fox getting a mixed girl to play her is kind of a slap in the face, but Hollywood tends to do that a lot. So I understand the outrage. However, people shouldn't attack her for it. It's not her fault. Go after the studios that hired her.

At some point you gotta start wagging the finger
cuz just letting them continue to drag random innocent people that happen to get favoritism isn?t bringing us together it?s separating us
I think that wagging the finger won't really help either.
Especially if it comes in the form of "Why you mad?! Eww stop hatin! You Jealous! Have some class darkie" , etc.

But I do think that more real conversations will eventually help.

That's why I say that I hate the light skin vs dark skin fights on social media but then again I realize that they're needed.

Colorism has been swept under the rug long enough. Like many things in the Black community. Time to air it all out. The fights are uncomfortable to watch but, they will prompt very useful conversations which will ultimately educate more people and bring that awareness of the root cause that we were mentioning earlier in here.
yea I definitely agree that there?s a way to go about this and definitely not by attacking people for feeling slighted. They just need to be educated on how to redirect the energy to the real culprit that?s all.

If the source material is still gonna be disgusting it doesn?t really matter who plays storm.
The original Marvel is taking over, so yeah j doubt it will be worst than Fox's versions

Does mixed not count as Black now? I?m confused. We call Obama BLACK when he has a white parent. HALLE is Black when she has a White parent and she played Storm too, but this girl is just mixed. It just doesn?t make sense, why are we disowning our ppl based on what percentage of Black they are

Damn so Jean got her own movie and Rogue got the boot from what I've gathered?

This bitch fucking sucks. Period. Ain't got shit to do with skin color, she's not a good storm!

Kalifornia.

That's just like with the 'Jem & the Holograms' film.

Shana is Black, and they went out and got the most racially ambiguous girl to play her. I'm glad it flopped.
