not only that but his phone is irrelevant to the situation at hand

it makes literally no sense for him to have to cough over his phone over HIM being attacked and the footage being on camera

Why would he not wanna hand over his phone records?? They wouldn?t even need the phone, just the records showing he was on a phone call with the manager at the time he says he was on the phone...

They are asking for the entire/physical phone not his phone records. Unless I missed something.

Him refusing is more of a privacy issue if anything.     

Exactly!! No idea why they would request his physical phone. Once they have it, it would have to be entered into evidence. They can just request phone records from the provider.

Yea i just listened to the news today and that's exactly what they said.  He didn't refuse phone records. He refused to give them his phone.  Yea, i just don't see someone lying about this, especially a damn celebrity.  The story is gonna be bigger because he's famous and the fallout would be magnified as well.  Saying he lied is stupid and problematic tbh

It reminds me of Trayvon, Mike and all the others that were made out to be thugs by the media  in the wake of them being murdered.

If this were Julia Roberts or some little pasty starlet, she would be known as this heroine, a martyr. But because it is a gay biracial man, the media wants to flip the script. It?s outrageous to me. Of course he?s not going to give his personal phone over and why should he? If all they want to do is confirm he was on the phone with his manager at the time of the attack, just subpoena the phone records. Honestly I feel like there is some police corruption going on here. Jussie doesn?t strike me as the type to lie about this, where would he benefit from it? Terrence even said theatening letters were sent to the studio prior to the attack.
