Unless you have a Neilson's ratings box in your home, it doesn't really matter if you watch or not.  I know because we had one in our house growing up.  It was a box connected to our tv that recorded everything we watched.  That's how they get ratings.  DVR is now also taking into consideration. So, if you don't have a Neilson's box, your boycott doesn't matter.
