Back in the days, watching The Craft while having a sleepover with your friends was pretty much the 'it' thing. The supernatural horror film which came out in 1996 (yes, 1996, you're old now) holds a special place in our hearts. Directed by Andrew Fleming, the plot of the movie revolves around a group of teenage girls who were outcasts and practiced witchcraft for their gain but soon everything goes south and they learn the hard way that they shouldn't be messing around with black magic. Starring Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, and Rachel True, the movie was both a commercial and critical success, grossing over $55 million across the globe.

The movie became a cult classic and one of the most watched Halloween movies ever. The Craft pretty much-greenlit tons of other witchcraft inspired movies and TV shows but it still remains a fan favorite. The film opened up at number one on American BoxOffice, shocking everyone and becoming one of the highest grossing witches movies of all time. Following the success of the movie, a sequel was announced but was terminated.

Fairuza Balk, who plays Nancy Down in the movie, was not on board with the idea of a sequel. "FYI- I did not say I thought remaking The Craft specifically was a bad idea- I said remakes -IN GENERAL-tend to be a bad idea," the actress tweeted and the fans supported her decision because come one, most of the sequels money hungry Hollywood makes are garbage. Sony Pictures received outrage from the fans and ultimately the idea of a sequel was dropped.

But now, after a span of more than two decades since the movie aired, the cult classic is returning to the silver screens and is being rebooted. For quite some time, there have been rumors of the reboot being in works but finally, actress Robin Tunney, the leading lady of The Craft has spilled some beans and confirmed that a reboot is indeed happening! Not only that, but she has also teased a possibility that the original cast might be coming back.

This movie should have gotten a sequel back in the day.

It had the perfect set up for one.

Sarah was coming into her powers

Nancy could have broken free

Like I don?t want a reboot mess

I want to continue the original story  :uhh:
