The album is really nice, doesn't have the shelf life of CSC though

I love both albums but CSC feels like an album

FanGOD is amazing but moreso a collection of singles

That's how I feel.

And I hated that late 90's..early 00's computerized production. It's so cold and dated to me.

Reminds me of Michael's "Invincible" and some of "Full Moon"

You described this perfectly. It took me forever to get in to FM (outside the singles) for this very reason.
