if a company was to discriminate against you and then tried to hire you after u clocked their tea to the media, would you take the job? does it depend on the pay etc or is it a no go because of what they did to u and possible others

Why waste time on people who don't value as a person or for your skills when they only saw your race or deemed you to be "ghetto" because of your name at first glance?

This is disgusting.  And the fckd up part is this "ghetto" tag is only done to black people.  If this were a girl whose name was obviously Asian, middle eastern, Hispanic, etc it wouldn't be deemed "ghetto". I agree  but unfortunately not a lot of people are in positions to turn down employment. This is where that Monique mess comes into play. Do u want to keep ur integrity or do u wanna provide for yourself and your family.

I'm not even gonna lie. I used to side-eye a lot of "dem names", and some I still do. However, as Black Americans we've had to create a culture of our own since we don't really have any ties to our heritage as Africans. So now I see it differently.

Like, they'll skip over Tamika Jenkins, but turn around and hire Shenendoah Kowalski.
