Ethnicity is difficult too actually, because it has a lot to do with identity, feeling of belonging etc.

If anything biological race is bottom line factual. Social race AND ethnicity are constructed.

Ethnicity is often determined by language, religion or both and can vary even therein. Latinos with African origin and Latinos with native origin are both ethnically Latinos.

no not at all because thats what i look like but no one ever really just says HEY BLACK BOY!! .. the only way you call tell im mixed  is cause of how light i am and also my eyes are naturally blue .. so ppl always asked are you mixed? or what are you mixed with

He was not talking about forgiving police officers. He was talking about race relations, period.  He was talking about forward movement in race relations. He saw blacks as ready to move forward and forgive past mess (not to forget it, but not to hold it against all white people.

I can see how you would be offended if you thought he was speaking about white cops killing innocent blacks going on right now, though.
