I just don't understand how christians can leave the old testament's other listed sins (gluttony, greed, working on sunday, eating shellfish/shrimp etc;) in the past to adapt to modern times but sexual orientation is the one thing that needs to be upheld no matter what.

It's because the world is rules by the straight man. And his own sins he can sweep under the rug. Sins by others (women, homosexuals) he sees no reason to forget.

I think the media really makes that LOOK like its the case
