I think she answered it respectfully based on what she believes in and who her target audience is. A black gospel artist is never gonna say being gay isn't a sin. But I like the other things she said.

I just don't understand how christians can leave the old testament's other listed sins (gluttony, greed, working on sunday, eating shellfish/shrimp etc;) in the past to adapt to modern times but sexual orientation is the one thing that needs to be upheld no matter what.
there are a lot of LGBT Christians though
I think the media really makes that LOOK like its the case
when it's not

That doesn't really answer my question though, Ray
it wasn't an answer
basically I disagree that what you're saying is true

There are gay christians but a Christian black sitcom can have the gorls working on Sunday eating shrimps, have a super rich business shark as the head of the family and it is peaches and creams, but once a gorl comes out as ghey, the sitcom turns into a drama series.

Forget about tv. what malc' said applies to real life

There are many hypocritical Christians, that pick n choose what to follow in the bible. It's not just Christians of course, but that's what this thread is about, so ...

No, but you get the picture, and if you don't you are playing dumb.

I am not too familiar with Tyler Perry's work. How does he deal with or portray homosexuality in his films? Is it really a non-factor and a casual sideline info, or some big dramatic down low spectacle.

I saw Temptation, and the way they death with adultery leading straight to destruction and death was kind of enough for me.

there are many hypocrites in all walks of life
Vegetarians who eat meat, ppl who have sex but are "celibate"
and there are boat loads of gays all through black churches
in the choir, praise dancing etc and no one cares. Look at Donnie McClurkin
Ppl on here do too much crying over a religion they aren't a part of
and don't believe in anyway

Is he an openly gay man, who accepts and defends his sexuality as ethical? Or some closet, or back to the closet case?

That is crucial to the heart of the discussion here.

I mean he dresses up as Madea and ppl don't criticize
he makes jokes about gays just like everything else
it's never been a big issue in any play or movie I've seen from Tyler
