2003-2006 were great vocallly. She still sounds fine now at times, it's just compared to what she sounded like before and her voice has thinned out a lot.

She still sounds better than most girls out just not as good as her previous self. I can't figure out exactly what it is either. Granted, she's not even attempting to sing high anymore outside of the whistles. I wonder if its actual vocal damage or or laziness.

Mariah is singing with her nodules which I don't think was ever healthy really. Whitney removed hers and recovered. Plus the usual she's lazy, drinks too much etc. her voice is very fragile but she does have good vocals performances now and again.

Love my queen but she lipped to mostly EVERYTHING in the 00s particularly those Emancipation performances like Fly like a Bird and the infamous Star Spangled Banner one. That doesn't mean she didn't sing well at that point but she relied on lip sync for most of her relevant, non-tour appearances
