Snuck? Boy they were just born and naturally had tethered doppelgangers. Lupita went on about how her pregnancies and life was so much worse just for juxtaposition. She was basically saying we went thru the same mess but urs was beautiful and magical while my experience was MUCH worse.  That's why I think there was more of a deeper meaning to it all.  Maybe about minorities being the exact same as others but being treated worse. That's why I think they introduced themselves as "Americans". We're Americans and physically the same but we aren't treated the same.  There was definitely sumn a lil deeper behind it all.  I just haven't figured it all out just yet
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

Sidenote, I love that this fag is making these movies that are essentially just scary movies but they actually require thought.

What i do need some kinda explanation on is why these tethered  people existed at all. Like why and why in this one random basement

This literally makes no sense.  If that's all it was then when the tethered lupita entered the real world then she would've been a menace and wreaking havoc VS assimilating into the American culture. She thrived and lived a happy, normal life. That  symbolized, if given the chance, we can be normal functioning members of society.  I wouldn't expect u brain dead fags to have any kinda deeper thought processes tho :dead:

Yessss :stressed:

It's funny because I share the same sentiments
From the symbolism with the sticker on the back of the car when the movie opens to the beach scene where the people are linked up..
It's gave me a classism mess owt.. yet showing how well those that don't have much/or implants can adapt to American society when giving the necessary tools..

I feel like while watching the tethered folks.. it gave me a feeling of how blacks have been treated in this country for centuries...
Even the media scenes.. showing them fucking shit up and acting a fool

But emphasis on how we are a product of our environments..
If u cage a girl long enough she will be everything you insist she is.. yet if you let that girl be placed in a place where the opportunities are wider.. she too can be great or live the "American dream" mess that society pushes

Oof.
I wanna see this mess again

At the end of the movie, Red explains that the Tethered are the result of a government experiment intended to control people, however, it failed because they could not replicate human souls. The experiment did work on Adelaide and Red and they each have half a soul.

This explains how Red has autonomy from the beginning, giving her the ability to capture Adelaide at the boardwalk funhouse They also both feel emotion and these emotions motivate their actions. Also explains how "Jason" could control Pluto.

All the other tethered are just failed experiments really not that deep or complicated.
