It's said in the damn movie out of her own damn mouth the purpose of the tethered was to control us like

mimic

  :plzstop:
It also said it was a FAILED experiment, right dummy?  So how could the boy just control his and no one else could theirs?  If the boy could control him then why not just control him to be chill instead of locking him in the closet and running.  He had just learned that he had control over him, correct?  So why run?  He was his puppet at that point.  This is a simplistic and DUMB explanation.  Are u gonna post the link of that quote?
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

watch again

They are the physical representation of our dark souls
This literally makes no sense.  If that's all it was then when the tethered lupita entered the real world then she would've been a menace and wreaking havoc VS assimilating into the American culture. She thrived and lived a happy, normal life. That  symbolized, if given the chance, we can be normal functioning members of society.  I wouldn't expect u brain dead fags to have any kinda deeper thought processes tho :dead:

Your mind :stressed:
We need to discuss so I can hear your thoughts  :stressed:
Yessss :stressed:

It's funny because I share the same sentiments
From the symbolism with the sticker on the back of the car when the movie opens to the beach scene where the people are linked up..
It's gave me a classism mess owt.. yet showing how well those that don't have much/or implants can adapt to American society when giving the necessary tools..

I feel like while watching the tethered folks.. it gave me a feeling of how blacks have been treated in this country for centuries...
Even the media scenes.. showing them fucking shit up and acting a fool

But emphasis on how we are a product of our environments..
If u cage a girl long enough she will be everything you insist she is.. yet if you let that girl be placed in a place where the opportunities are wider.. she too can be great or live the "American dream" mess that society pushes

Oof.
I wanna see this mess again

Wait Glock!

Girl, are you really this dumb or are you just fucking with ME?

Obviously Lup is the exception. She's the successful experiment.

And thus her offspring would be as well.

like what are you even debating. This is the most basic ass part of the movie  :uhh:

Can somebody else bring up a part of the movie that is actually thought provoking?

GLOCK

This molested girl is just as stupid as she portrays

CHOKE

Molested and still able to comprehend a simple ass plot

:udontlookok:

So lupita could successfully control her tethered counterpart as well?  So why tf did she go thru a whole ass fight at the end that she almost lost instead of just controlling the situation?  If tethered lupita controlled the real lupita to come down at the beginning then why not just control her to stay tf away and bypass the whole damn situation that was about to ensue?  This is literally the dumbest thing I've read on bsource :dead:

QuoteControl: We learn that in the world of Us, the tethered are a failed underground experiment, intended to be used to control the untethered population above ground. This suggests that the tethered have some element of power over their counterparts — we can even see how they anticipate, predict, and parry the untethered's movements — and drives home the unsettling idea that above-ground humans might not have as much agency over our lives as we think we do. It would also explain how Jason is able to manipulate Pluto into walking backward into the fire: it's both a reference to their mirror game, and a sign that Jason — the real tethered — can exert control over his untethered.

Sor the control part is the easiest most well KNOWN part of the movie

Couldn't imagine being that damn dumb and having the simplest parts go right over my head.
