the tethered lupita getting pregnant should be ER have even had an effect on lupita because, again, what happens to the human effects the tethered, NOT the other way around. which is why, AGAIN, the little tethered boy got his face burned off but the little human boy was uneffected by this.

The original plan of the experiment was to have to tethered control the humans. The plan failed. Lupita is the only successful experiment, which is why her kids can control theirs as wellZ.

this is a reach, but let's just say this is the explanation. if this was the case why wasn't THIS mess explained ... since they did attempt to explain it. and the girl couldn't control hers so there would be another plot hole

did you not understand her monologue? She literally says out of her own mouth that the experiment failed and they were all left their to rot
