I don't mean he was controlling him like he was a remote control robot. I meant controlling him like he realized he could get the boy to mimic him if he tried hard enough.

It's established that the Tethered mimics them down in hell. Lil Jason was just the only one who realized this.

Original Lupita didn't know. How could she have known. She met her doppleganger got choked and then got left down there. She wasn't able to SEE the mimicing herself.

But it was the tethered that were designed to control the humans so that makes no sense either sinny baby. Like, that's why they said earlier in here that lil tethered 'pita guided that lil girl to the point where she was snatched and swapped out.  If that's the case, tethered luputa (who was actually the one we thought was real lupita) knew full and well that she could control her, because she did it at the beginning.  So why not just do it again? That control theory isn't consistent thru the movie so it's not a viable explanation. I'm sorry

But when she was explaining I thought she said they were purely created by the goverment to see if they could be mind controlled, but it failed because while they could replicate humans, they couldnt replicate souls so it was a failure and they got abandoned
