My Whit, I shed some real tears. And Idky I was on High school when she passed and wasn't up on her discography. Besides the Huge, huge singles.

I remember the day Aaliyah died, it was crazy. I bout broke my neck running down the stairs waking my mom up.

"Aaliyah is no longer with us"... I remember my Aunt saying that. That was tough.

With Whit, I was stunned. Felt like I had lost my own mother - they are close in age.

Left Eye was tough too - I am a huge TLC fan.

It didn't hurt me like that.  It hurt me more knowing brandy was in pain over it

The way whitney's death affected me was so weird and unexpected though, because I was more of a Michael Jackson kinda person. I love Entertainers opposed to Vocalists. But whit was special beyond her voice. :loose2when:

I wasn't as affected with MJ.

He never felt REAL to me. As crazy as that sounds.

He was like a character, an 'othered' person. So when he died, he didn't feel like he died - if that makes sense.

I most definitely get what your saying, he kinda was larger than life.

Where as Whitney was very personable, she was like your Auntie.  Which is why it may have affected me, I fell in love with her interviews and personality before she died.

I think the connection with Mon', Bran', and 'Liyah made her death hit me hard. I also think it's because I saw Branica dealing with it.
