LOONA.

I'm just confused at all this hoopla over a few comments about a community of men that won't ever see them. And they will continue to oppress us and remain the face of black violence in America while we, trans, and black women get overlooked.

So please miss me with a "How could you as a Black gay man" mess.

And you've yet to answer Bre's question as to who and where the "oppression olympics" was displayed in here.

LOONA.

Straight black men as a collective obviously.

Or do you think the average black man is loving and accepting like your dad or like Magic Johnson who would be fine with his son wearing dresses, heels and makeup?

Boy wake up.   :dead:

"They'll never understand how it feels to have so many against you" was an example.

Drais was basically saying hetero Black men don't have it as hard and are basically in some sort of place of privilege. That's a bit of the Olympics to me. As I described it, it's very "I have it rougher than you."
& what he said was true no? It's a different battle a different fight
No one was talking about how much easier they have it than us and they should quit complaining.
He highlighted FACTS that we face in our community, just because he highlighted OUR plights doesn't mean he dismissed others.

not dismissing experiences of hundreds of thousands of black gay men everywhere to a "couple of tweets" :dead:
That may have not been your experience and that's ok, but it's true of many others.
Come into the real world a bit

Kurama

Anyone can quote me if they need clarity on something I said btw.

I think the shit starts flying when ppl try to play cleo with what someone posted leading to misinterpreting rather than what they actually meant.

Not even sure where this phase of the discussion came from :dead:

Were you not implying that Black gay men have it harder than Black hetero men in some way here? I'm trying to understand.

Im trying to understand how you came to this conclusion Herb?
