I receive that. So here's my thing. How can an entire group of people NOT bare resentment or prejudice to another group of people who historically and presently have treated them as less than human?

Like if there's a bully in high school that just wont fuckin graduate or die. Your grandparents told you about how this bully fucked them over, then your parents, then you get to high school are you expected to not have an impression of this bully and give em a clean slate?

the "right" or moral answer is: We can't stoop to the level of our enemies and oppressors. We have to overcome and forgive.

but we're human and resentment is REAL. i think one of the major psychological struggles that many go through as black people is trying to deal with the feelings of anger and resentment (that white people are STILL giving us reasons to feel) while also not wanting to become like or adopt the same mindset as the oppressor.

I agree. It's a struggle especially considering that it's something that we are still experiencing but I also understand how carrying that can be burdensome for Black folks too.

I think when we give white folks and ourselves the freedom to call us racist we create a vacuum of false equivalency (which white ppl love), lack of context, and an invalidation of our experience as Black ppl, then and now.

Can blacks be racist? Yh by standard textbook definition I guess. Blacks don't have the power to act on their "racism" and use it to slight or disadvantage anybody though. IDK if that's an excuse to absolve blacks or any race from being labeled racist tbh.
