The Infinity Gauntlet is an American comic book storyline published by Marvel Comics, consisting of an eponymous, six-issue limited series written by Jim Starlin and pencilled by George Pérez and Ron Lim, that was published from July to December 1991

At the start of The Infinity Gauntlet, the alien nihilist Thanos has collected the six Infinity Gems and attached them to his gauntlet.
With their combined power, he becomes like a god and sets out to win the affection of Mistress Death, the living embodiment of death in the Marvel Universe. When Thanos uses his powers to kill half of the living beings in the universe, Adam Warlock leads Earth's remaining heroes against him. After the Infinity Gauntlet is stolen by Thanos' villainous granddaughter Nebula, Thanos aids the remaining heroes in defeating her. Warlock ultimately obtains the Infinity Gauntlet and uses its power to undo the death and destruction caused by Thanos.

The majority of Marvel's cinematic output is loosely based on storylines drawn from the comics.

NVM. Let me help you out lil baby.

Endgame is not based on a Marvel comic
The majority of Marvel's cinematic output is loosely based on storylines drawn from the comics. The Russos have, perhaps more than any other Marvel director, drawn the most from the source material, with The Winter Soldier, Civil War, and Infinity War being surprisingly faithful to the spirit to the comics, if not their exact events.

But while it seems obvious that Endgame should draw on the concluding issues of the Infinity Gauntlet comic arc, Joe Russo explains that's not the case.

"This is really based on the previous 21 movies," he says. "It really isn't tied to any storyline in any of the comics. It's tied to wrapping up the story of these 11 franchises that have been interwoven into this massive narrative arc."

As such, you probably shouldn't dive into Marvel's back catalogue in hunt for clues as to how Avengers: Endgame will play out. Or you should read every comic ever published featuring Thanos, because the secret to reversing the Snap is hidden in there.

Now am I telling the truth or telling the truth? Let's verify.
