This is stupid. The only reason why I even got Hulu was because it was a bundle with Spotify. Disney tends to water down shit so I ain't clapping

Well for one it eliminates a major competitor per se. I think they'll keep Hulu to distribute some of their more adult themed content that wouldn't be appropriate for their bubble gum platform.

Yes I've read that's exactly why they were trying to get Hulu... Disney+ is supposed to be more family friendly while they can have more adult themed shows on Hulu.

I'm sure the competition thing came in play also tho

They already had a huge stock in hulu. They just control all of it now.

And they will have a bundle mess, can't remember where I seen it with Hulu and Disney plus.

Since they ALSO acquired FOX, it will allow them to have Hulu live Stream sports programs 

They plan on cornering the market and shutting out all competition. They got the coins for it.

This is brilliant if you think about it.

They decided to get in the streaming platform industry, and KNEW they wouldn't survive or THRIVE with just Disney content TBH.

So they acquired all of Fox's.

Then decided that that new content(Simpsons, Family Guy, Aliens, etc...) that they acquired CAN'T mesh with their almost 100 year brand they established and decided to get another vehicle to display that content, instead of leaving them on the shelf.

What better way to do that then buy out an already established and know one. Which would eliminate competition in the market and also allow yours to thrive along side it and make profits from both.

They really are evil, this world domination
