And Gen I just don't think it's fair to simply say "the Blacks didn't support her so oh well! On to the cross over it is! They mad!" .
It was simply a few women asking her "Hey Tiny where's the Black girls at?"
Which is perfectly reasonable considering her audience. I mean the gorls don't even look mixed. They look flat out White.
sffsfsfs
It just doesn't make sense for her current audience. Period.
It makes sense that some of them were a bit shocked to see that pop up on their timeline from Tiny. Yes she's half White genetically but she's always been aligned with Black culture and Black women. It's her brand and how she makes money.
If Shea Moisture got pushback from the community for their mess (from women who actually FOLLOW and SUPPORT their brand), then she isn't exempt.
Would Rihanna be as popping if she didnt cater to her white audience and only made songs for bbq cookouts? Hardly. Hell she came into the game as a carribbean reggae act and was almost dropped.
Tiny just wants to broaden her brand. I dont see anything wrong with that besides her stupid responses.
You use Rihanna as an example but she didn't come into the game with yams and collard greens on her plate. Singing negro hymns. We knew from the jump that she was here for a quick pop hit.
And even with Rihanna, look at the way she's pushing in FENTY beauty. She knows that inclusivity is important.
Gor plee.
It's 2019. Get with the fucking program.

Exactly. She came into the GAME seeking a white audience with a bajan accent, and stayed in that lane for years. If Rihanna kept up with her island roots musically, she would never be as big of a name as she is today. Because she sought out a white audience, she's a bigger brand than other black female singers who soley cater to a black audience. Its all about money and business.
Tiny is half white has been catering to the black community for years, she has ONE business venture that caters to whites, I dont see the big deal. This is no different than your average black artist making a pop hit for white dollars. Being woke doesnt pay the bills. Speaking of, I hardly see Rih's discography being full of black social issues and more of it towards the white pop charts. I could see if Tiny only panders to the whites (Like Halsey) but that's not the case here.
Tiny's comments were stupid, but the initial post wasnt. Its like god forbid someone black works with white people. Lol.
