Phoenix is the last Xmen movie.

Yh there will still be mutant movies though.

And they literally just canceled Gambit last month

The timeline with these movies is a complete fool.     

Disney is putting them on the shelf until at minimum 2025. They want the GP to let some time past between all this and then recast and integrate them into the MCU. So none of this even matters.

That doesn't mean much. The creative team can still work on it, it's just not gonna be pushed by a major studio. The writers and directors probably still want Disney to consider their script when it's time, but that's gonna be ways away and when Disney say so and how because it can't ruin the MCU storyline.
