focused on the legendary central park five

I definitely remember that whole mess vividly...

I saw everyone chatting about the movie and didn't really pay it any mind til I turned on the news this morning and saw that this white bitch is getting SLAMMED for it years later - "Surviving R Kelly" style.

:plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop:

Love it tbh. Netflix about to bring me back onboard for at least another few days. Imma dig in when I settle down tonight.

I tried watching the first episode, but couldn't get through it, so I read about it instead.

Glad it's highlighting the issue, but...NVM. Even typing this is draining.
just sum it up in a few words..was it too dramatic ? or what
i see a lot of people debating about it being too traumatic or triggering

Like, "oh this is black trauma porn and I'm tired of them profiting off of it"

MelMel

Look I want to slap a white bitch after watching the first two parts

That's initially what I thought before hand, and not totally wrong. I don't fuck with slave movies in any sense. Ava did a good job as opposed to some white director. She highlighted and guided the direction of the film in the right direction even though it's traumatic, didn't feel exploitive.

It inspired me to want to do my part in dismantling the system in a helpful way on my part.

Korey? Baybee. They should all rot in hell for what they did to him. He wasn't even there. I couldn't even finish his episode.

The guy who played him deserves an Oscar. He did that.

It's unconditional, these days you know....
