I know some people who get off on that.   I much rather people think I'm a nice normal guy than to have them hating on me

If so, how do you handle it?

I've dealt with it and deal with it.
It's sad to say, but most of it comes from family members (cousins, etc).

I have to say, that I just take a mental note and place them where they need to be - without them even knowing it.
I can't entertain it any more than that.

Now, I can't say they are envious.
But sometimes people give the impression that they're not happy that you're doing well in life.
Or in my opinion? They're unhappy because THEY ARE NOT doing well in life and it's magnified when they see someone else achieving their goals/dreams/aspirations.
