Cuz the characters looked like well the actual characters from the cartoon. Not some barbie animation version.
And the 90s mess actually focussed on the good stories.

90's X-Men is overrated and boring to me probably because I was like 3/4. I feel in love with Evolution.

no where near seasons 1-4 of the 90s Fox show
