So what parts of the Bible are we still living

Let's go with : our entire existence 

It confuses how people seem to separate what's written in the Bible to our lives now on this planet.

I mean ; it's essentially an original History Book of sorts with stories, parables most certainly, and messages received from the Most High.

Although our relationship as a human race with the divine has shifted , it  doesn't negate the actuality of the events written in the Bible. Truthfully our reality has changed so much since then; and the way we view, interpret and comprehend the Bible now is really what drives such division in people's beliefs in it .
What seemed like a normal story And recount of events for John the Baptist, May seem like total fiction novelty these days.
But that speaks moreso to how our place in the universe has changed over time.
