I wouldn't even ATTEMPT to make a damn hotel reservation in a city where I have close family. I don't have one of those families where holidays are these dreaded times tho. We genuinely have fun with each other and all get along

I havent seen them since i moved in 2002 and i booked the hotel for 3 days cause i didnt tell anyone i was coming so i gave them time to digest it and get prepared lol
But i guess if i dont have the hotel for my whole stay here then iono

So Lew, what ended up happening

Well  i waited from 11 till 5 30
And my cousin texted asked how i was makin out i said im still waitin onvwhen yall goinn over deena house then they  said they wasnt goin

So they said they at my aunts house do i caught yhe train and they picked me up

N they ate and i didnt have much of an appetite

And my half sister called and said shes goin over the main house for thankgiving and 15  mins later said she left wtf..so i stayed where ibwas and kept falling asleep on the couch so my cousin was like here lets go to my house

And i explained i was still gonna be here for 7 days and she  said thats fine

Im glad to hear it worked out in some way. Your cousin seems pretty cool, which is a good thing. Family can sometimes be worse than a damn stranger on the street, which is why I can take them or leave them. It is all about how you treat people when you are here. Im sorry you had that experience.
