Whitney had already left for the day after filming and it was his idea to use that scence as the poster. However, the studio wanted Whitney's face on the poster because they knew she would be boxoffice draw since she was the biggest pop star at the time. But Kevin fought for it and it became the official poster for The Bodyguard.
