I'm trying to figure out what damage is happening to Taylor?
she didn't have the masters in the first place, didn't take the offer that she was given
and now another person has them. This is not stopping her from continuing to make music and profit from it as she used to as a singer/writer and producer.
For once we agree.
It's petty, THAT'S what it is. They know damn well Taylor can afford to buy back her masters, if shew as giving the opportunity. Its very shady if her father knew, and she really did not know.
She was the bread and butter of that label. They are upset that she left. It is business true, but we have to recognize that the same things happen to black people. White men in America look out for each other, even when a minority, blacks, women, latinos etc have the same means, we are not given the same OPPORTUNITIES. Bob Johnson wife talks about wanting to buy her first hotel, but they would not sell it to her. They choose to sell it to a white man, and she was worth 500 million dollars.
For this alone, I side with Taylor. I don't feel sorry for her, but I hate the way business in America is allowed to be done and who usually benefits from this.
