I think the token is even a bit much considering the circumstance. She simply did the right thing. But in today's world where that seems to be a rarity, I understand why they made a big fuss.

It's a big deal in hospitality because there truly is no way to "prove" that a housekeeper took something unless the guests plants something and has a camera. So their entire job is dependent upon trust and integrity. So yes, her getting this reward is much deserved because she could've taken it and could've gotten away with it which to the OPs point, she's dumb lol
