Well you said that disney is doing movies of a certain time despite the fact that they have been jumping through different timeframes of doing remakes of movies from the 1940's to movies of the 2000's. So that was one excuse

Voncie said that Tiana's original movie was shit and underserving of a remake ,so that was another excuse.

So instead of improving an original black character and making sure she's just as established as the other princesses, we are jumping for joy over halle being selected for a quick cash grab of the black dollar.

Im happy she got the role, I just see through the bullshit.

Disney has no faith in spending that much money on an ORIGINAL FEMALE BLACK CHARACTER WITH AN ORIGINAL
BLACK STORY. Its easier to just use a black face to sell an already established white character. Why not make an established black character? Answer that.

Yet disney has been heavily promoting and casting the little mermaid ALREADY because again, CONTROVERSY SELLS!

It wasnt well promoted which is why disney had it on limited release.

If they really had faith in this why did they only have it in select theaters where not many people could see it, even when disney has the cash to do so?

Which proves my point. They took the safe route and just used a black actress for an established white story because they have little faith in a 100% original  story for an actual original black character.

And also because they knew changing her race is basically free promo.
