Ummmmm this one sounds a lil different.  From what I'm gathering the man doesn't live in the building and wanted to wait for his friend in the lobby of the building.  Um, this guy isn't necessarily wrong if that's the case

then you'd be just as late as this white boy. ppl do that shit all the time here in new york (which it looks like this was in). it NOT that serious like.... at all. even in the nicest areas. and this was definitely a race issue because i guarantee he wouldn't have stopped a white girl.

Actually I've lived in building that require access to get in them and when something happens people do look to see "WHO LET THEM IN/BUT how'd they get in the building". He lives in the building, so yea he can be concerned about it. And also, ur coming in behind me. So Yea, that's not "just mind his own business". This man didn't have access to the building so he should've waited for his friend outside

And actually it is that serious, that's how burglars gain access to buildings they shouldn't have access to.  The friend should've given him a key or passcode if he was to wait in the lobby of a building he didn't fckn live in

I don't disagree that this was racially motivated but that doesn't make this black man right. 
I've personally had people try to get in buildings I've lived in to be soliciting or WHATEVER and that's annoying.  The guy didn't rightfully have access to the building so why are u saying that he should get to wait in the building?  I'm curious as to the logic behind that
