When Nicki came into the game, she entered a commercial market dominated by males and she remarkably overtook the throne. For years, she was Ms go-to feature for every artist because they wanted to work with her and she had massive solo success.
Cardi started rapping after Nicki made record label CEOs realize that there is a demand for female rap again. Cardi came in when the goin was good.
It's great Cardi wants to put it out there that she supports all female rappers because she loves them so much, but if it wasn't for Nicki revitalizing the brand, Cardi's say-so wouldn't have any weight
