!!!!!!! I was about to say the same thing.... Because the same thing happened to Anita Baker. During the 80s and 90s the music industry did this a lot. They still do to some extent. I mean there's clear evidence of ageism when it comes to female artists. Especially with the way radio markets are. Karyn White was just FUCKING IT.  I grew up on her, Jody Watley, Paula Abdul, etc. Paula actually started off as a Laker girl and became a choreographer. She was Janet's choreographer during the Control era.
