Most of the military isn't in any harms way. I did deploy once to the middle east but it was a hour away from Doha soooo... Yeah. And my salary was tax free the entire time. Got a bit coined up.

what kind of company you been surrounded by throughout your experience? I've just known a few people with fucked up mentalities, people in it for the wrong reasons and some racist ass people I trained/trained with in rotc and always wondered wtf they're doing now.

There's definitely some looney mofos out there but I would say they are mostly in specific branches of the military. I've experienced a bit of racism of course, and have had my go prejudice individuals but love and respect all wins in the end so it's nothing.

The military is becoming more and more diverse though. For example, the section I am in now is 4 blacks, 3 Asian, 2 Spanish, and 2 whites. I'm on a spectrum, my supervisor is a female on a spectrum, and everyone is open and accepting of it. Every month the base celebrates different cultures, i.e. African American heritage, Asian pacific heritage, the LGBT community during pride month, and so on.

Besides free college tuition, picking a career that the govt will teach and fund, veteran benefits, nice checks while in the military, the chance to travel the world for free, so on and so forth?

A d depending on your job and branch your most likely won't be in the battlefield in harm's way, especially as we become more technologically driven. That's really changing the game the way we operate as a military

My parents legit live in South Beach... in a OWNED home. Neither of them being in the "army" ever.  

I think from a personal standpoint I cant see the benefit of it.  I would literally need to be at gunpoint.
