It's not difficult to understand why someone would side eye the military

That's not the question tho. I think the military is probably corrupt in alot of ways and that's one of the reasons alot of people are so against it.  America sending troops any and everywhere to do their bidding BUT let's not act like there aren't benefits to being in the military.  That's just emphatically untrue

I hear you on, but that shouldn't be your reasoning for downplaying the military. It's not all about being deployed to some foreign country and fighting in some senseless war. Each branch is different. I'm still thinking about joining again myself.

Of course there's deceit there for young minded people joining and civilians. Tbh, as someone who worked in the Intel field with Top Secert/SCi access. Alot of shit is good yall don't know.
