All these idiots helping to make sure trump gets re-elected

Justaway_

Trump's has the re-election in the bag already :dead:

Whites are in BLISS right now. They're finally becoming their true racist selves without being penalized by society and politics. Approval ratings are high enough. There's no hope tbh

and all the latest presidents were re-elected anyway

I don't see the point of reparations unless there's a plan in place first.

Like a whole conversation just surrounding how it would be infused into the community to help strengthen our economic standing in this country.

Otherwise I just see it getting the tax refund treatment. Which would be pretty tragic.

Well, that was supposed to be fleshed out with that meeting on HR40, but as it stands right now, that bill isn't really equipped to do anything. Besides, it was only a study to "consider" reparations. The entire system of American capitalism was predicated on centuries of theft of stolen labor, so
I don't see what they need to study. It was a crime against humanity, and the debt needs to be paid before it accrues even more interest.

Now that's not to say that a reparations package shouldn't be comprehensive. I would also like to see some kind of tax break/holiday included, as well as a therapy/mental health program, and a federal jobs guarantee. Since our ancestors were denied wealth-building multi-generationally, this should be a multi-generational, comprehensive program.

And we need to be hip to when these politicians are trying to play us for fools. Take Kamala's housing plan for example. I believe it's a 100 billon dollar plan to help affected "minorities/POC" (this doesn't necessarily mean black, it's code language) with home payments up to 25k or something like that. It's a weak attempt IMO to address racial redlining in housing segregation.

Whites in this country have a household wealth of 90 trillion, while blacks have a household wealth of 3 trillion. That's a huge disparity. 100 billion is literally a drop in the bucket, and will not effectively close the racial wealth gap. The only policy proposal that can effectively close the racial wealth gap is reparations, and they know it, which is why they're doing everything they can do dance around and avoid it. Cowards.
