It's crazy how they have the same two parents but probably had totally different experiences because of the way they looked.

I didn't know Rashida had a sister. But I now see articles of her sister speaking on how Rashida passed for White in college, etc.

I can def tell the girl to the left is a Black-ish woman with relaxed hair.

kidada is her name
I think she was Li's bestfriend and 2 pacs Fiance

I think

Have yawl ever been out and seen whites with just one or two black features?

That's where that stems from.

We learned from Fro's ancestry journey that ppl are often surprised by their results regardless of skin color

So We do have sistren and brothen that are watered down. But still black. I stand by that

I'm not leaving anybody out that was born to someone that came over on a boat

I'm sorry, everything else about the shades is just semantics to me

This is yet another hold over pattern from being descendants of American chattel slavery. We tend to adopt the principles of our oppressors when it comes to our identity. Black slaves didn't have guaranteed familial stability in those times, and no say in who was brought to or removed from a plantation. Also, we didn't have the wherewithal as we do to ask people "where are you/your people from? We had to take care of each other and anyone who came to work the fields with us was basically our family. We are a very welcoming people who are communal in nature, which is why we typically accept anyone with a drop of black blood as family, or anyone who says they identify with black culture.

and because we're not fucking racist or have a supremacy to try and uphold. yea we are very inclusive in that regard.

!! And if she was raised that way, I cant fault her for feeling the way she does. However, after the 4th or 5th generation, ur more white than black and her grandkids have a right to feel they are white. She needs to accept that.

Mel.

Her features to me give black
honestly if I saw her pic with no context, I would've said she was a a very fair skinned black woman

her mother looks black and not that far off from my late grandmother's complexion
she lowkey kinda reminds me of my grandmother
