My mom, grandmom uses it too sometimes but it's in addition to their shit. Do u open up a can of spaghetti sauce heat it up, pour it over noodles,  and say SPAGHETTI? It's the base and then u add you're own seasonings,  tomatoes, or tomato paste, etc. That quick stuffing shit is no different. It's the white people shit and then we BLACK it tf up.  I definitely wouldn't use a national brand like stove top stuffing as a way to prove a point.  It's the flavorless, mainstream version and it's by white people, so you  inadvertently proved our point
