I have almost finished season 2 of the Handmaid's tale.

Am I the only one who finds all of the sex scenes and drug use a bit much for a show about high school students? Just seems odd to me that you have girls playing like they are underage showing everything and have sex.

At first it was jarring but then you get lost in the characters and the story and you kind of don't care about it

I mean as an adult yeah the thought is weird, but I mean I graduated high school a few years ago and people were fucking and doing drugs. Hell one of our prom Queens was pregnant.

Why should we pretend it's not happening because it's uncomfortable.

Seems pretty accurate. That was mainly was high school for most of us.

Experimenting with sex, some drugs, freaking out about having good grades and keeping things hidden from our parents.

....and surviving it all.
