I don't think its black trying to be white. Its more 'boring' brown eyed types wanting to be 'special' like those with coloured eyes. Asians, middle eastern, orientals etc all express the blue/green/grey eyes, not just white people.

I don't think it's intentionally trying to be white , either.
But it's definitely influenced by eurocentric standards of beauty that have been forced upon many of our african american sisters.
