I think something may be "off" with people who are suicidal, which is beyond their control.

Especially in the Black community where our solution to everything is "pray about it" or "call Jesus on the mainline" instead of talking about mental health.

I mean, think of it. The most basic desire of all livings is to survive.
Even if you try to stomp out a roach on the floor, it will run. It wants to live.
A snake will stand its ground when it feels threatened. It's not gonna just lay down and wave a white flag.

So for a human being to lose that desire to keep going....Something is off.

But yea, faith! god! fuck it. Religion makes it even worse for suicidal people

It's all about ignorance and prejudice towards basic mental health.

How dumb do you have to be to judge someone for killing themselves  go watch a mental health documentary. It's out of their control due to brain waves or blockages in their brain. There's nothing the person can do about that. It's not some oh I'm mad lemme kill myself.  That's just not how a normal brain functions. A person being able to take their own life entire thinking is different from birth or something traumatic can trigger a huge change in their brain

Someone who would take their own life is mentally unstable,  I'm sure has personality traits that i would  find weird,  and just to call a spade a spade,  theyre fckn crazy, which is why that's usually considered "white People shit".

Mental health is very important tho,  so i wont dismiss attending to that.  Talking to a therapist, family,  etc.  If ur contemplating and attempting suicide tho,  that's a whole different thing and you're probably weird,  weak,  or just plain fckn nuts

Black people are much more durable than white People in every way, which is why there are little to no black serial killers,  black people committing mass shootings, black people walking into schools with bombs and shit trying to kill everyone,  etc.  But ur free to think whatever tf u want

Something is definitely off.  I low-key think if u have the capacity to even contemplate something like suicide we probably won't connect organically anyway.  Sorry but I think that's definitely someone with a certain type of personality and mentality, and it definitely isn't aligned with mine.  That even comes down to ur faith and ur relationship with God, but that's not a convo I can have here.

I definitely respect your opinion because honestly I use to have the exact view. Then when it hit closer to home I was able to see it from a different viewpoint, which didn't have to make sense to me. I feel it breaks down to the strengths and weaknesses of one another, how we compartmentalize the events of life,  and knowing how to apply the proper weights to everything. I truly believe an individual's value system is so imperative to their mental health.
