That's what happened with Shit Follows with me. I thought the movie was absolutely TERRIBLE on my first watch, but then it ended up being one of my favorite horror films. You have to just watch it with a clear and open mind. I always go into a horror flick with my expectations and directions already established in my head that I feel like they should be taking, so I usually end up disappointed.
