what's the deal with eevee?

no shade but I always skipped the eevee mess on the older games. Is it particularly strong?

Most people just like collecting them and all their evolutions. Stat wise it's pretty terrible. Umbreon is a great tank/defensive pokemon though if it has the right nature and ev distribution.

and shiny Vaporeon is gorgeous

Choke you can always breed for a shiny with perfect stats using the Masuda method. It's the fastest way to get a shiny via breeding. It's even faster if you have the shiny charm

Because they've always shat on Pokémon visually

I've got all my badges... about the beat the champions ass. I've been going through these gym leaders just with a snorlax after I added 25 carbos items to his speed and he learned belly drum (hp cut in half, attack stats maxed) Pretty much one hit KO with every battle. My other Pokémon just cheer us on pretty much
