After rewatching the video a couple times now, I really don't understand why it was necessary to shoot the robber.

When you work at a business/store, it's common knowledge and standard procedure that you give a robber whatever they ask and once they leave the establishment, you contact the authorities.

In the video, the girl did the right thing by going into the cash register to give him the money. Once he left, she would've contacted her manager and the authorities, and they could've dealt with the situation afterwards.

I'm not defending the robber's actions because he is dumb af but he really didn't need to lose his life over this smh. This is just further proof Americans don't need guns and they have a major gun problem that needs fixing asap.

Give him what he wants, offer a bottle of water and a cookie while he empties the cash register

Furthermore. This is a good example as to why you should be allowed to carry. Imagine taking citizens guns away. The ones who got them by legal means. But allowing (because you don't know they have them) others (mainly criminals).
