He deserves all the credit and praise for hiring black actors, but writing and creating is where the real power is. It feels a little selfish on his part

There are a lot of black stories to tell, and i like that he pulls from his own experiences, but as a consumer willing to give his work a fair shot (i go and see all of his films) it's pretty disappointing to see that he only cares to show what he knows and ultimately enjoys seeing on screen.

This is the equivalent to a musical artist telling the world that they write all of their own songs

this is his ART. He wants to maintain complete control of certain aspects of it and there's nothing wrong with that.

I acknowledge and respect that even though i don't really use that idea in this particular field he's in

Hell, even musically, i don't really care for that idea. The girls that write all of their own songs like Alicia Keyes and them, could most certainly benefit from a new voice and ideas
