She started having health issues back to back, and the label started putting her on the back burner also.

Exactly the name that came to mind before I entered.  Vh1 introduced me to her when I was younger.  I remember being captivated by this and this was why i bought the cd

i was watching this video on her (which is what led me to make this thread) and apparently the milli vanilla mess plagued her too. Some background singer sued her and people thought she wasn't singing on her mess, even though she won the lawsuit. And then a VMA performance was the nail in the coffin.
