I don't like Tyler Perry work either

But who else is giving a lot of these black actors and actress chances like him ??? NO one

You can applaud him for that and keep it real, whether you love his work or not. He's giving out the most roles and putting out the most content, so he's naturally going to get a lot of praise and backlash as well. Hiring a bunch of non union workers on the cheap and then putting out mediocre to bad projects can almost negate the fact that they've gotten the exposure.

There aren't many downsides to getting work as an up and coming actor, but the quality of the script and role being subpar, is also a horrible feeling for an actor that wants to build a strong resume and be taken seriously in Hollywood as well. There's such a great opportunity there at the Tyler Perry studios to put out INCREDIBLE, timeless pieces that really shift the culture all over again and that's all a lot of us really want. It's not his responsibility, but it would be great to see him be open to change

!!!! I will say, I don't get that. Even if he has consulted black females before he debuted Sistas, it should be reflected in the writing. I think about Insecure, especially that last season, they really captured what it was like, especially for a Black woman, to be ghosted. Getting upset when the text ain't from him, wanting to pull up at his house, etc. Tyler has good ideas but I think he could use some help.

Yea, ion like this. It's one thing to dislike his work but it's another to ignore facts when speaking of his integrity.

Of course he's gonna pay phylicia Rashad what phylicia Rashad deserves and taraji p Henson more to her liking.  I'm not talking about them.  I'm speaking to the majority of the actors that are on his bullshit productions. The ones that he's giving all these "breaks". I thought that was pretty clear
I've heard Tyler Perry aint paying right and I can definitely believe it.
