He's exactly right, I remember that song getting popular then it just disappeared

I love when they do things like this so we can see that artists direct point of view. It's much better than having 50 people sitting telling what they heard or thought.

Somebody was definitely trying to sabotage him tho.

Did you mean Return of the Dragon? I believe that album was released in 2001, but I could be wrong.

I am thinking it could be Musiq Soulchild

It's cannot be Musiq at all. It has to be one of Sisqo's singles off the second album. One of them came out May 2001. They were probably trying to play off the success of his first album

That's your opinion. We don't know what Case's thoughts are, so it's not far fetched to consider Musiq, Sisqo, or even Montell. 🤷🏽‍♂️

If he was saying the song was trash it wouldn't make sense for it to be musiq. It just wouldn't. No one would call a musiq song trash, ESPECIALLY back then. Musiq made and MAKES better musiq than Case. It's something that would be considered "trash" as a consensus. So yea,  that's VERY far fetched
