A Super-Star Artist Is Dropping An Album On Friday... But Who?



Someone's about to pull a Beyonce.



Hits Daily Double released a report on Tuesday claiming a super-star is readying a "sneak-attack release" slated for this Friday (Dec. 18), but no concrete evidence who it will be.

Let's speculate...

Rihanna


She's the most obvious choice. Fans are hounding her to put ANTi out, and perhaps she's caving under the pressure (can she do that?). It was rumored she'd drop the album via TIDAL last month before a global-release the following week, but industry insiders warned her album would sell poorly going that route. Needless to say, the album hadn't dropped as expected. Industry experts began speculating she'd hold off debuting the record until 2016 because of Adele's high-selling 25 record that's expected to remain at No. 1 throughout the year. Sia, who's contributing songs for the album, says the album is still a work in progress, plus Riri was spotted inside the recording studio as recent as Monday night. If we're going by this logic, Friday's surprise release is not Rihanna.

Beyonce


She coined the idea, so it's plausible to think Beyonce would surprise-release her forthcoming record. She's rumored to have a video shoot taking place this week in New Orleans, LA, and the Beyhive is speculating it's for a music-related project a.k.a. the first single's music video. Then again, would Beyonce really wait this long to gather all her assets this close to a release? We think not.

Kanye West


West didn't shy away from performing throughout 2015, but the material was mostly from past efforts or off someone else's record. He's currently in the process of finalizing his album SWISH, which he says ?gets better and better every week? and described the record as a ?sonic painting.? He urged people last week to leave him alone and allow him some space to finish the LP, saying: "I?m finishing my album and my next collection? no offense to anyone? I?m asking everyone DON?T ASK ME FOR ANYTHING TILL AFTER I?M FINISHED WITH MY ALBUM." You do the math.

She recently shared a couple of teasers of her new song titled "True Love," then "liked" several Tweets about the song dropping in 10 days' time. Hmmm...
